Sport, fitness & recreation
Council's parks and reserves, including tennis courts, playing fields, sporting facilities and open spaces, are available to be booked for a variety of activities.
You may be required to apply for a permit to use and carry out your activity.
Activities which require a permit include;
- Personal fitness or small group training or activities
- Commercial fitness groups, including yoga, pilates, tai chi etc
- Regular or one off Sports training
- Dog obedience training
- Sports carnivals or sporting events
- Any event for 100+ people

You can only hire a park, facility or reserve, if you are required to apply for a Permit.
A permit is required for;
Any event/activity with 100 + people in attendance
OR
Your event/activity is for;
- Regular or ongoing sports training
- A sporting carnival or sports related event
- Commercial fitness or small group training (includes PTs, Yoga, Pilates etc)
- Any other commercial activity such as dog obedience classes
For all other non sport, fitness or commerical training Event or activity, for under 100 people, you do not need to book or apply for a permit. Public facilities must be shared and space can be occupied on a 'first in first served' basis.
