Fish Tank

Fish Tank, the City of Unley’s flagship youth entrepreneurship program, has been nurturing young business minds since 2016. This initiative offers young people the chance to turn their innovative ideas into real-world businesses, with prize packages and mentorship helping them along the way.

SA Young Entrepreneur Scheme (SAYES)

The City of Unley partner with the South Australian Business Chamber to sponsor one local resident aged 18 to 35 years to participate in the annual South Australian Young Entrepreneurs Scheme (SAYES). SAYES is a business mentoring and learning program designed to help young entrepreneurs to establish a business or further develop and grow their existing business. This is a 12-month program including learning workshops, online webinars and face to face mentoring sessions with industry experts valued at over $1,800.

Additional professional services that are either subsidised or fully funded include but are not limited to; Advisory Consultation, Business Strategy Consultation, Lead with Integrity, Business Accelerator Program and Digital Training Series. Living Young Reference Group

The Living Young Reference Group creates an opportunity for passionate young people aged 12 – 25 years to engage with Council and other local organisations about issues that are important to them. Participants are inducted as Council volunteers and will have access to a range of training and skill development opportunities. Living Young is about enabling opportunities for young people to lead and learn, connect with others in their community, and promote wellbeing and resilience.

Youth Sponsorship

The Youth Sponsorship Program supports young residents 25 years of age and under to participate in all aspects of community life, enable them to reach their potential and to make significant contributions to the local and broader community.
