As part of the administration of the South Australian Public Health Act 2011, Environmental Health Officers regulate high risk manufactured water systems(HRMWS).
High Risk Water Manufacturing System (HRWMS)
Information is available to owners and operators responsible for the control of legionella in High Risk Manufactured Water Systems; particularly cooling water systems and warm water systems.
High Risk Manufactured Water Systems must be operated and maintained in accordance with the South Australian Public Health Act (Legionella) Regulations 2013, the Australian and New Zealand Standards (AS/NZS 3666) and the Guidelines for the Control of Legionella.
A key role of Council in relation to HRMWS and legionella control includes annual registration and inspection in accordance with the above legislation of all registered systems within the City of Unley.
