City of Unley Business Community Leader
Recognises businesses that foster a diverse community through inclusive employment practices and/or has focused on making their business accessible to all individuals.

City of Unley Leader in Sustainability and Environment
For organisations where a positive environmental outcome is the priority. Focusing on sustainability and climate change adaption initiatives such as reducing their carbon footprint or applying resources to climate change.

City of Unley Transformation, Innovation & Growth
This award recognises businesses who have innovated or adapted to market changes, adopting new types of business models or technology to deliver quality products or services.

City of Unley People’s Choice Award
Nominated by customers who have experienced service excellence and have taken the time to show their appreciation, by submitting their thoughts in writing and nominating a person/business for this Award.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the 2024 City of Unley Business Awards, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Your business must operate within the City of Unley area.
  • Your business must be registered for an ABN.
  • Information to support the nomination should explain, illustrate and highlight the business’s achievements in the applicable areas.
  • An applicant must maintain appropriate business ethics and demonstrate a commitment to legal obligations including anti-bribery laws.
  • Businesses may nominate or be nominated in more than one category but will only be eligible to win in one category.
  • Nominations can be lodged by business owners, employees and the general public.
  • Event sponsors are ineligible to apply.
  • Subsidiaries and franchises are eligible but must be identified as such in nomination.
  • Late applications will not be considered.  

  • At least one representative from your business must attend the Awards Ceremony on Friday, 13 September 2024.

Assessment of Applications

  • Nominated judges will identify finalists and winners in each of the categories.
  • Judges decisions are final and at the discretion of the City of Unley.
  • If the judges are not satisfied that any entry meets the required standard in any entered category, the judges may, at their discretion, not award a winner.
  • The Business Awards are presented by the City of Unley (and any potential sponsor).
  • Decisions are final and at the discretion of the City of Unley.
