'Say My Name' is a new campaign to celebrate the diversity of our community. If you go that extra mile to remember your customer's name but struggle to pronounce it, we're encouraging you to dig deeper and learn how to say their name. A little effort can go a long way...
Personalisation is one of the greatest ways to attract loyal customers. Learning their name and how to pronounce it makes people feel recognised and valued. The Say My Name campaign profiles the cultural diversity of the Unley community and specific individuals that have names often mispronounced - they may well be your customers.
In coming weeks, you'll start to see posters promoting "Say My Name" with a digital art/QR code that directs community to a video of a local who is profiled and teaches you how to say their name. Local identities have recorded themselves saying their own names correctly plus the other versions they have been called.
